LA PASSEGGIATA (Wander)

The book

It’s early morning. On a deserted beach, the sweet rhythm of the waves, a magic meeting happens: a son spends one last day with his dead father. A long walk full of memories and complicity. Father and son talk about themselves, each other, finally saying what they never had the nerve to say before. Two friends, of a different age, that meet each other outside the rules of time.
La passeggiata (Wander) is a story between dream and reality. A melancholy happiness. Then, again, a smile. It’s the strength of feelings. When he was young, Federico spent his holidays in Anzio, on the seaside, not far from Rome. It’s there that he found love for the first time and learned to sail.
Many years later, he still goes back to that beach to order take-away pizza and walk to the Nerone Caves.
“In this story there’s a fulfilled beautiful prayer, to spend another day with a person, who’s passed away, but that I still miss so much”.
